In October 2020, my team launched a new Networks webpage as a phase 2 redesign. The problems we were addressing included: a confusing filter experience with inconsistent categories, a need for keyword searches, and an option to add contacts, social media links, and detailed pages.
I consolidated feedback from the senior leadership team and developed a content outline for our external web developer. Based on market research and identified pain points, we split over 50 networks into three high level categories: Locations, Interests, and Colleges & Schools. The result was a user friendly and searchable tool that became a dynamic and visual display of the Northeastern network. The site was built around alumni needs and interests using data-backed design and input from all staff.
Following the launch, I led an office demo and training, copyedited all posts and links, and managed the content migration.
This web page launch was featured in a "Networks In November" email campaign, highlighting the opportunity to find an alumni network based on where you are or what you like.
